Changing Text Boxes in Old Browsers
If your facility is using an older browser (any version of Internet Explorer, for example), then you may experience issues using some of OpNote's functionality.
One such issue is that they hinder the ability to expand any text boxes. Normally, users can expand and contract text boxes to better fit the narrative components they wish to include in the report. See below for an example of text boxes of different sizes that have been expanded per the user's wishes.
Unfortunately, IE11 and other obsolete browsers nullify that functionality, which can make it difficult for users to see the entirety of the information they are entering. There are two workarounds for this issue.
Workaround 1 - Using The Two Column View
The three views for OpNote (Two Column, Single Column, Grid) allow for different navigation depending on the user's preference. Two Column view is the one that best assists users to fill out long text (when unable to expand the boxes in those fields). As you can see below. Users can move between views as they see fit if they just wish to use the Two Column view for these specific instances. See below for an example:
Workaround 2 - Using The Text Boxes Of Dragon (or Other Speech-To-Text Programs)
Dragon DMO and other speech-to-text programs allow their users to create spaces where they can dictate their information into an expanding box. Users must have access to their speech-to-text program and to use this "dialogue box" rather than dictate directly into OpNote. Once dictation is complete, the information can then be put into those text fields in OpNote via 'Transfer Text.' See below for an example of creating a dialogue box for dictation:
